Miss America's Scholarship Foundation & The American Heart Association's Go Red for Women Campaign Partnership is making HUGE progress!
Together, the American Heart Association's (AHA) Go Red for Women movement and the Miss America's Scholarship Foundation can educate, engage, and empower women across the country to make their health and well-being a priority and join in the fight against the No. 1 killer of women - cardiovascular disease. Each Miss America participant has the opportunity to not only make healthy choices for herself, but to be a role model and a champion of women's health in the community and state she represents, bringing women together to improve the health for all!
Miss America contestants, from the local to national level, participate in the fundraising campaign to support the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women movement and the Miss America's Scholarship Foundation (MASF), which continues to create a powerful surge of advocacy for an issue so incredibly important to all women! AHA and MASF has partnered with *Spotfund to create a simple platform for contestant use in these efforts.
Each contestant in the State Competition must raise $300 for the initiative by JUNE 1, 2025 ($330 for At-Large Contestants if you did not compete during the current season and raise the $30 local competition requirement), but all are encouraged to set your sights higher. If you have not yet completed your AHA/MASF profile on Spotfund, please email the Miss Iowa Executive Director, Leslie Moore, at [email protected]. If you have competed during the current local competition season, your profile should already be established.
In preparation of your advocacy for this amazing organization and partnership for women's health, please download the AHA documents and talking points above.
